一、Appearance

Natural marble is a gift of nature, so the texture of each piece is unique. The high-quality stone has a clear, smooth and delicate texture and a variety of colors.

The slab is industrially processed, so the appearance of the same plate is highly consistent, although the texture is close to natural stone. However, the types of slates on the market are relatively single, with black, white and gray as the main color.

二、 Ingredients

Marble is mainly composed of calcite, limestone, serpentine and dolomite. Its main components are calcium carbonate (over 50% of the total), magnesium carbonate, calcium oxide, manganese oxide and silicon dioxide.

The rock slab is made of natural raw materials (silica, inorganic clay, feldspar powder) through a special process, pressed by a press, and fired at a high temperature above 1200°C.

三、Physical and chemical properties

1. Hardness:

The Mohs hardness of marble is 2.5-5, with dense texture but not high hardness, and it is easy to process, sculpt, grind, and polish;

The rock slab has a Mohs hardness of 6-7, which is abrasion-resistant, scratch-resistant and impact-resistant, and can cut vegetables on the rock slab without damage.

2. Denseness:

The compactness of marble varies greatly according to different varieties, and generally, it is relatively loose. But the marble interior decoration can also be used for long-term durability if it is well maintained.

The rock slab has higher compactness, strong waterproof and anti-fouling ability.

3. Stability:

Marble is physically stable, well-structured, grains fall off by the impact, without burrs on the surface, and does not affect its plane accuracy; stable material can ensure long-term non-deformation, low linear expansion coefficient, high mechanical accuracy, anti-magnetic, insulation, and non-magnetization. It can move smoothly during measurement, without a sense of stagnation, not affected by moisture, and the plane is stable.

The rock slab has high stability, is durable, does not change color and does not deform.
